CICS continues to be the major business transaction driver in the world. CICS is expected to continue its growth with new enhancements to handle web support and business transaction services available under the latest release. Internal structure has been changed to provide the appropriate infrastructure for these enhancements. The new internal structure has made it difficult for users to observe what is happening internally in the system.

C\TREK allows on-line access to real time CICS structure information, assisting in the identification of potential operational and performance problems. C\TREK captures a significant amount of data with each request, allowing the user to view the information even though the system continues to process. Data from each domain can be viewed. C\TREK presents important domain information from each anchor block and associated control blocks.

PREREQUISITES

C\TREK runs under CICS/TS 3.1, CICS/TS 2.3, CICS/TS 2.2, CICS/TS 1.3 and CICS/ESA V4.R1, and the appropriate operating system environment (z/OS, OS/390 or MVS/ESA). C\TREK is available under COBOL 2 in a non-LE environment or COBOL in an LE environment. C\TREK will also be available on the GA day for CICS/TS 3.2.
